3rd Xiangxi Tourism Development Conference to kick off

The 3rd Xiangxi Tourism Development Conference will be held in Yongshun County from November 7 to 9, with the theme of “Mysterious Xiangxi, Encountering Yongshun”. The mascots are designed with the elements of Maogusi dance, and the stage background of the conference will be presented through ink paintings of world natural and cultural heritage.

Before the conference, Xaingxi Prefecture will promote its natural scenery, historical culture, and ethnic customs through the press conference of the 3rd Xiangxi Tourism Development Conference and such activities as Walk and Dance on the Land of Xiangxi, the cultural and tourism short video competition, and the Young People’s Tourism Season, reflecting the great changes in Xiangxi in the new era. During the conference, three main activities will be launched, including media and market entities’ familiarization trips, project observation, and Tujia cuisine tasting. Meanwhile, there will also be an opening ceremony as well as a promotion conference for the high-quality development of the tourism industry in Xiangxi Prefecture.

The opening ceremony will present a cultural and tourism audio-visual feast that integrates elements of Xiangxi and symbols of Yongshun.

During the promotion conference, a signing ceremony of key cultural and tourism projects will be held, and well-known experts and entrepreneurs in the industry will be organized to discuss how to build Xiangxi Prefecture into a well-known tourist destination at home and abroad.

Leaders and guests attending the conference will be invited to visit key cultural and tourism projects such as the Furong Mountain Wellness Study Base, the Xiangxi UNESCO Global Geopark Museum, and the core scenic area of Furong Town.

Media reporters, members of industry associations, and enterprise representatives will also participate in such activities as the Tujia cuisine tasting, and the agricultural and tourism product display.

The conference aims to showcase the tourism resources, cultural characteristics, and achievements of tourism development and project construction in Xiangxi.

After the conference, such activities as the 2nd Hunan Ethnic Film Exhibition, and the promotion of Bu’ermen hot spring cultural tourism will also be carried out.

In addition, immersive experience activities such as Dehang Fantasyland, Yuanshui Landscape Gallery 5D Light Show, and Large-scale Light Art Exhibition at Qianzhou Ancient Town will be launched.

A series of cultural activities, and preferential policies will be rolled out, and the “Mysterious Xiangxi” boutique tourism route will be released to provide more cultural and tourism experiences for citizens and tourists.

Yongshun County has implemented 52 key projects for the upcoming tourism development conference. As of now, 46 projects have been completed, and the remaining 6 projects will have been completed by October 25.
